We love leather because it is a high quality material that lasts decades, withstands tears and punctures, and holds its value. Leather looks and feels luxurious and only gets more vintage with age.
IS LEATHER ETHICAL AND SUSTAINABLE?
Yes our cow and sheep leather is ethical and more sustainable than man-made and highly processed materials.Â
Wirihana Supplies does not use exotic leathers where an animal may be targeted specifically for their hide or any other unethical practice. We only use cow and sheep leather where the hide is a byproduct of the meat and dairy industries which would otherwise be discarded.
HOW DO I CARE FOR LEATHER?
Leather is technically a skin and should be treated as such.

Store out of direct sunlight to avoid drying out.

Occassionally apply a leather moisturizer to rejuvinate skin.
​
To wash, use mild soap and warm water. Clean with a rag, not a harsh brush.
​
Avoid harsh soaps, chemicals and bleach.
